Long walks with my dog give me most of the inspiration for my textiles pictures which are all based on the natural world. Changing seasons, different landscapes and the creatures that inhabit them can all be captured in fabric, whether it’s a bit of mauve, curly mohair for moorland heather or a circle of red satin heated to form the petals on a poppy. Textiles gradually became my preferred medium because of the depth and texture that can be created with the vast range of techniques and materials, including hand and machine embroidery, applique, painting and beading.

Information about Beth’s work will soon be available.
